Ring and bead construction

Ball closure rings use a captive bead held between the ends of the ring. This closure differs from a screw-on ball or a hinged clicker. Review the closure and bead details on the product page, particularly when selecting replacement components.

Ring diameter and bead size

Check bar thickness, internal ring diameter and bead dimensions separately. A bead must be compatible with the ring's opening and retaining design. Compare the specified material and finish, and keep the size information with your stock so similar-looking rings remain easy to identify.

For initial piercing stock, verify the individual product material specification, construction and dimensions. The piercer should assess suitability for the client and placement; a category name alone does not establish suitability.
