Match the fastening system

Attachments may use an internal thread, an external thread, a threadless pin or another specified connection. Captive beads for ball closure rings are a different component. Check the listing carefully; a ball's visible diameter does not identify its thread size or compatible post.

Attachment size and supplied components

Compare ball diameter, decorative top dimensions and the stated connection specification. Confirm whether a bar or post is included or sold separately. Match material and finish to the jewellery range you stock, and keep compatible tops and posts clearly identified for reorders.

For initial piercing stock, verify the individual product material specification, construction and dimensions. The piercer should assess suitability for the client and placement; a category name alone does not establish suitability.
