Posts and decorative tops

A labret has a flat disc at the back and a top at the front. Designs can be selected for different lip and ear placements, with fit determined by the client's anatomy and the piercer's assessment. Check whether the listing supplies a complete piece, a post or an attachment only.

Length, thickness and compatibility

Compare wearable post length, thickness, disc size and decorative top dimensions. Verify whether the connection is internally threaded, externally threaded or threadless. The same post thickness does not guarantee that tops from different fastening systems or ranges are interchangeable.

For initial piercing stock, verify the individual product material specification, construction and dimensions. The piercer should assess suitability for the client and placement; a category name alone does not establish suitability.
